Dog training and Puppy classes in Oakworth


All training is reward based and delivered by an Instructor who holds qualifications from the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). Our trainer is a full APDT member.

We pride ourselves on running classes that engage the dogs AND their owners in a relaxed, safe, fun and inviting environment.

Held at:

Oakworth Village Hall (formally Holden Hall) in Oakworth every Thursday evening.

We have plenty of space in this ground floor hall, your dog will be able to work on non-slip matting and there are plenty of chairs available. 

We work in small group sizes of 6 ensuring the best in support and guidance, training assistants are on hand to help out. All training is reward based using modern up to date methods that are kind, fair and effective. Each participant will receive a welcome pack and ongoing email support for the duration of the course. Classes run in 6 week courses and include the following;

  • Puppy Lifeskills
  • Adult Beginner
  • Work towards Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme, Bronze, Silver and Gold awards

Our next courses in Oakworth will be announced once all restrictions are lifted, training is available remotely, via outdoor 1:1 or from mid April at the training centre in Denholme. Group sessions will re start at Denholme mid May. All of these dates are subject to change if the road map does not go to plan.

Please note - in class training is reserved for dogs who can manage working around other dogs. Dogs who have any issues around other dogs may be best having one to one training. If in doubt please give me a call to discuss your needs.
